Spiritual Memoirs Workshop
This day-long workshop is a cross-denominational,
non-judgmental forum for speaking our individual truths.  It is
designed as an examination of our spirituality as it impacts our
lives, and how our life experiences shape our spirituality.
Much more personal than autobiographical writing, spiritual
memoirs are reflections on a life composition, our personal history
as it is manifested in our spirituality.

Ethical Wills Workshop
The story of your
life will be a gift to
your family that
only you can give.
Lois Daniel
This workshop is designed with a practical, interactive format to
educate and motivate participants.  Depending on the number and
length of sessions, participants can expect the following:  in an
introductory two-hour workshop, participants will begin the
process of composing their ethical wills; in a four-hour, half-day
session most participants will complete an outline for their will;
a full-day and/or multi-session workshop allows time for
reflection and discussion and usually produces a first draft of their
final document.
See what past participants have
said.
Personal History Series Workshop
...ethical wills have the
power to make people
confront the ultimate
choices that they must
make in their lives.
They can make
people...stop and
consider what they are
living for.

writing.  This 5-week
series of lifewriting includes all
materials you need to get started.
Journals are where

we first find

that will carry us
through the world.

Leaving a Trace
A Journal Workshop

Using the metaphor of a community garden, we'll explore how to
step into the rich fields of your past journals. We'll begin with a
few ground rules, gather some tools to make the harvest fuller and
discuss how to delicately handle "bruised berries"--those hurtful
memories all of us avoid. Bring a few of your own journals to gain
practical, hands-on experience working these techniques.

Homespun Legacy can work with your church or group's
coordinator or your center's activity director at your location to
custom-design a specific workshop to meet your particular needs.
These workshops can cover a variety of themes and span an
introductory 2-hours, half-day, full day or weekly series.
Workshops start at $25 for the introductory 2-hour session (with 10
participants at your venue) and usually include start-up materials.
(Ask about
discounts for your group!)

Call 540-473-3998 or
e-mail me with your ideas or requests.  It costs
nothing to discuss the scope of your project, or to outline a
workshop your group might want to sponsor.
See below for available workshops.
The OWL-Circle Memoir Workshop began as a two-year
grant-funded program designed to offer guided autobiography
workshops that would help senior women (women over sixty)
write their life stories. The women of
Story Circle Network
believe that it is vital that older women be specially encouraged to
tell their stories before these valuable eyewitness tales are lost.
This is a five-week series and costs $75 to cover the expenses of
venue, workbooks, guided exercises and your personal memoir
booklet. Click
here for a fuller description of the workshop.
Available for your church, group or organization at your site.
Call (540) 473-3998 or
e-mail for details.
Participating in a workshop is the quickest and least expensive
